Description

IMPORTANT: Before starting any fault finding or repair procedures: see DNOX2 General Instructions and Precautions.

DNOX2 system has detected that the urea pressure level has exceeded the allowed maximum value. This fault activates if measured urea pressure exceeds 7.5 bar (108.8 psi) (relative).

The urea pressure sensor is located inside the main filter housing of the supply module and cannot be separately replaced.

Failure Mode Indicator

FMI 00 – Above normal operational range – most severe.

Failure Mode

A fault code is released on the engine CAN bus. Fault code is also stored into DNOX2 EEPROM. Urea pressure signal will be set to zero.

As a protection feature, EEM3 system will activate engine power degradation mode. Engine speed is limited to 1500 rpm and engine power to 40% of maximum fueling amount.

Possible Cause

  • Faulty Supply Module (SM)

Diagnosis and Solution

  • If the SM is suspected to be faulty, verify by using a spare SM and test if this specific fault code disappears.
