Procedures:

Connect your Launch X431 device(V/PRO/PRO 3) to vehicle.

Enter the menu to select “FORD”,then tap “Confirm”

Launch X431 Perform DPF Static Regeneration for Ford Fiesta 2011 (1)

Select “Automatically Search”

“The the program will show the vehicle information as below

     VIN=WF01-14C204-HA***

     Vehicle=Fiesta

     Capacity=1.6L

     Engine Type=Duratorq-Turbo Diesel Common Rail Injection StgV

     Vehicle code=AV21-14C204HA”

Please check the vehicle specification,select “OK”

Select”Fuel Type=Diesel”

Select “System Selection”

Select “PCM (Powertrain Control Module)”

Then Launch X431 show the system information as below:

    Module:PCM

    Type:Standard Equipment Module

    Module Information:0008B55D

    Vehicle Incode:000039A7

Select “OK”

Select “Special Function”

Select “PCM Service Function”

It show a massage:

Caution:This function will change the status of vehicle

Select “OK”

Select “Diesel Particulate Filter Static Regeneration”

Prompt:Carry out this procedure to regenerate the diesel particulate filter.

Tap “OK” to continue

Then Launch X431 will show you the operation:

Turn ignition to the “ON” position,then tap “OK” to continue

System will be reading fault codes

Turn the ignition to the “Off” position

The pop-up a massage as below:

During this procedure,the engine speed will be increased for an extended period of time

This procedure is carried out while the vehicle is stationary

This procedure can take up to 25 minutes to complete.

The exhaust gas at the tailpipe can reach temperatures of approximately 500 degree static regeneration in the workshop.

Make sure the exhaust extraction system is capable of operating at high temperatures and gass flow rate for an extended period of time.

Use a portable fan for additional engine coding.If possible,static regeneration outside of the workshop.

Make sure there is at least 1 metre[3.3 ft] Clearance behind the tailpipe.

Tap “OK” button to continue

Warning massage:

Make sure there are no combustible materials or surfaces likely to be damaged by heat from the exhaust system.

Then select “Yes” to continue

Turn ignition to the “ON” position,then tap “OK” to continue

Start the engine,the system will be inspecting the temperature of Engine coolant.

The temperature of engine coolant must beyond 65 degree.

Do not press the accelerator,brake or clutch pedal during this procedure.

Press the OK to start the static regeneration procedures.

Then test will take about 2500s,select “Yes” to continue

Launch X431 prompt you to turn the ignition to the “Off” position

Then the diesel particulate filter static regeneration successfully.
