How to Fix Clear Coat Damage by Yourself

This instruction will show you how to repair your damaged clear coat on your car. This only use basic tools so that you can do this yourself at home.

Procedures:

Use Frog tape, masking paper to cover area you don’t want to spray

Then use 600grit and 1000 grit sandpaper which should be suitable for wet and dry applications sand the surface

When sanding, clean surface with some Trisodium phosphate and some water

After drying, spray Dupli-colors filler primer on surface to filling all those little scratches

Use 1000 grit sandpaper sand it after drying

Spray three coat Dupli-colors perfect match on the surface

Spray 2K clear coat, 10-15 minutes between coats, totally spray 4 coats

After 30 minutes, wet sand it with 2000 grit sandpaper.

Then use a machine Torq X by chemical guys, this is entry-level machine perfect for beginners.

Get three pads as well as some compound and polished samples by the chemical.

Also you can do same thing by hands.

You may have to do this two or three times until you get the results you want.
