G-scan2 Reset Engine Sensor & Mixture Adaptation for Benz G-Class

Procedures:

Connect G-scan2 to vehicle and enter menu to select “Diagnosis” and then select “Benz” model

ME/CDI/CNG-Engine control unit

GCLASS,463-16P Connector–Drive,then click “OK” to continue

Go to “Special Function”

Resetting of sensor adaption

Note:After the sensor rotor adaption has been successfully reset,the sensor rotor must then be readapted in driving cycle.

 

The driving cycle must be carried out under the following conditions:

-Coolant temperature between 5℃(41℉)and 8℃(176℉)

-Drive vehicle on the road in gear 3

-Increase engine speed to >2100 RPM and then run with an engine load of approx 50 for 30s.

-Monitor the status of sensor rotor adaptation by selecting menu [Check sensor rotor adaptation]

Preconditions:

-Ignition switch on

-Engine stop

The following functions are performed:

The sensor rotor adaptation values are erased

Press [OK] to start resetting of sensor adaptation

Resetting of mixture adaptation:

Back to Special Function menu and select “Resetting of mixture adaptation”

Preconditions:

-Ignition switch on

-Engine stop

 

The following functions are performed:

-The mixture adaptation is being reset

Press [OK] to start reset mixture adaptation.
