Valtra BH Series 140-210 Internal Inertial Sensor Temperature Error

Here is the instruction show you guide on how to solve Valtra BH Series 140-210 trouble code SA 28 – SPN 520213 FMI 11.Internal inertial sensor temperature is outside of the normal operating range

The guidance controller has detected the temperature from an internal inertial sensor is outside of normal temperature limits.

The guidance controller uses inertial sensor to assist with guidance and improve accuracy on undulating terrain. The inertial sensors are inside the guidance controller and are unserviceable in the event of failure.

Diagnosis and Solution

  1. REPOWER THE GUIDANCE CONTROLLER.
  2. Disconnect power to the guidance controller via the appropriate switch for 30 seconds.
  3. Reconnect power to the guidance controller.

Expected Result:

Diagnostic fault code no longer exists.

Results:

  • YES – The system reported a false diagnostic.

Repair: Report false diagnostic.

Proceed to step 3

  • NO – Guidance controller temperature is outside operating limits.

Repair: Operate the guidance controller within temperature limits.

Proceed to step 2

  1. OPERATE THE GUIDANCE CONTROLLER WITHIN TEMPERATURE LIMITS.
  2. Operate the guidance controller within the ambient temperature of -40 to 93 C (-40 to 200 F).

Expected Result:

Diagnostic fault code no longer exists.

Results:

  • YES – The system is operating within normal temperature range.

STOP.

  • NO – The guidance controller has a hardware failure.

Repair: The guidance controller requires replacement per customer’s warranty/replacement plan.

STOP.

3 REPORT FALSE DIAGNOSTIC
