How to Add External Temperature Sensor to Fiat Grande Punto by FiCOM

This instruction shows guide on retrofitting external temperature sensor to Fiat Grande Punto 2005-2012 by FiCOM. First we read fault codes to show no DTCs are present. Then external temperature sensor is configured. When configuration is saved, body computer displays DTC showing error(as the sensor is no yet connected)

How to Install and Quick Start FiCOM Diagnostic Software

Procedures:

Click “Select Control Unit”

Choose the correct vehicle model, click “Go”

Click “Body”–>”Body Control Module(BSI)–”Go”

Click “Read Fault Code Memory”

And find there is no DTCs, Click “Go Back”

Click “Configuration”

Scroll down and find the statue of External Temperature Sensor is Absent, Select it and click “Edit”

Change statue to Present, click “Continue”

Click “Write Configuration to ECU”

Click “Yes”

Configuration was successfully written to the ECU. Click “OK”

Go back to main menu to read fault code memory again

And find fault code “B1027-12 Out side air temperature sens”. Click “Freeze Frame”

Click “Go back”
