Toyota Highlander 2013 prompt OBD trouble code B2799 error,this problem can not be solve by normal method.The only solution for it to disable the immobilizer system.
B2799 is a communication error between the Immobilizer ECU and PCM, a fault in the key or transponder will typically set a B2796 or B2798.
Step 1:Get Toyota Highlander ECU Data File
Method 1:
Use PCMFlash programmer to read out the ECU file information SN,here show as picture
Calibration file:89663-60820
Note:Toyota 2006-2015 ECU files can not be read out by OBD type,you can only read out the ECU file information,but you can write ECU file to ECU by OBD.
After you get ECU file number,you can buy it from other people.
Method 2:
Remove ECU cover,then use Toyota ECU programmer to read out ECU file
Step 2:Motify ECU File
Run Toyotalex 4 immo off software to load ECU file
Then ECU file will be motified automatically for IMMO OFF
Step 3:Write New ECU File to ECU
Write new ECU file back to ECU,then install ECU to car
