Description

IMPORTANT: Before starting any fault finding or repair procedures: see DNOX2 General Instructions and Precautions.

 

DNOX2 supply module (SM) is equipped with internal semi-conductor type main relays. These main relays are automatically shut off after DNOX has finished its after-run actions initiated by ignition key being switched off by the vehicle operator. If a main relay cannot be switched off by the DNOX2 software, the relay is considered faulty. The main relays are located inside the SM and cannot be separately replaced.

 

Failure Mode Indicator

FMI 03 – Voltage above normal or shorted to high source.

 

Failure Mode

A fault code is released on the engine CAN bus. Fault code is also stored into DNOX2 EEPROM.

 

Possible Cause Faulty Supply Module (SM)

 

Diagnosis and Solution

If the SM is suspected to be faulty, verify by using a spare SM and test if this specific fault code disappears.
