The measured oil pressure is above the warning limit (9,5 bar).

Possible causes are:

The oil pressure control valve is not operating correctly.

The oil pressure sensor wiring is defective.

The oil pressure sensor is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the oil pressure warning lamp is activated. Engine power and speed will be reduced (Degradation Level 2). The CAN message indicates active fault.

NOTE: The monitoring is active only when the engine is running and the coolant temperature is > 30°C.

Solution

Check the oil pressure control valve according to service instructions.

To check the electrical defects, check the oil pressure sensor, the sensor wiring and the controller input: First save the error log and then erase it. Restart the ECU after erasing the error log. If the fault occurs again during the next driving cycle, check the following paths:

Check the oil pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).

Check the operation with another oil pressure sensor to see if the oil pressure sensor is defective.
