This post will show you guide how to use G-Scan to learn Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) for 2013Ford/Lincoln MKS. For more function of G-Scan, please refer to G-Scan2 Test Projects.
Procedure:
Before replacing steering rack assembly, you need to connect a scan tool and be in initialisation mode.
Connect G-scan, click “Diagnosis”
Select Ford USA
Select “AUTOMATIC SELECTION” and correct engine size
Click “System Search”
System Search will scan all available system in the vehicle.
After searching finished, scroll down and select “PSCM(Power Steering Control Module)”
Select “Special Function”
Select “PSCM Module Installation”
Turn the IG ON and hit “OK” button
Turn the IG OFF and hit “OK” button.
Replace entire steering rack assembly
After replacement, go back to the G-scan and finish up the function.
Click “OK” button to continue
Turn the IG ON and click “OK” button
Turn the IG OFF and click “OK” button
Turn the IG ON again and click “OK” button
Module Configuration Complete.
