Honda CIVIC 2016 ECU Programming After Replacement by X431

This instruction show you guide on how to use Launch X431 device to program ECU for Honda CIVIC 2016 after replacement.This function is used in the condition that unable to start engine after vehicle engine module replaced, and the indicator lamp of Anti-start device on the instrument flashes at this time.For more Honda repair case,please refer to:Honda Trouble Repair.

Notes

1.An Engine ECU that matches the original vehicle and is available is required;

2.Before performing the operation, ensure that the vehicle battery voltage is not lower than 12V and the device has sufficient power;

3.Duringoperation,strictly follow the device prompts to switch ignition ON/OFF;

4.When the key registration failed, switch ignition OFF and ON for one time to perform the function of system check;

5.After the key registration completed, check whether all the keys normally open and close the doors and start the engine normally.

 

 

Launch X431 ECU Programming for Honda CIVIC:

1.Replace the engine ECU prepared in advance, and make sure that the battery is disconnected before replacement.

2.Connect the diagnostic device, enter the corresponding IMMO module, and select the HONDA Anti-theft diagnostic software

3.Select the menu [Engine Module Replacement], the software will automatically detect the Anti-theft type and display the corresponding function menu

4.Perform interactive communication with Engine system,perform interactive communication with Anti-theft system, and perform lock cylinder control unit initialization

5.Turn the ignition switch to OFF, as shown in Figure 5.

Note: This operation will be performed more than once during operating, please perform by strictly following the prompts.

 

6.Turn the ignition switch to ON

7.Performing initialization for the intelligent control unit and verify the checkout

8.Turn the ignition switch to OFF, as shown in Figure 8.

9.Take only one original keyless access remote into the vehicle, and remove all other keyless access remotes from the vehicle,

 

10.Turn the ignition switch to ON

11.Registration completed, turn the ignition switch to OFF

12.Check all keys, try to start Engine, lock and unlock the doors

13.Turn the ignition switch to ON, Engine module replacement completed.
