Procedures of BMW F chassis ABS brake exhaust gudie:

 

Connect Launch X431 diagnostic tool to the vehicle and enter the software menu,select BMW V49.30.Processing…please wait…

Note:The software can diagnose the elec,control system of BMW,include engine/chassis/body and other parts.The operation is the same as the original scan tool.

Then Select “Manually Select”

Select “5 series”

Select “5’-F10/F11/F18”

Select “Chassis”

Select “ABS(Anti-lock Braking System-DSC)”

The software show the ECU IDENTIFY

Please pay more attention to ECU IDENTIFY,select “Ok”

Then select “Sepecial Function”

Select “Brake Bleeding Procedure”

Then software will pop-up a prompt,the content show as below,pay attention to the prompt,select “OK”

“The brake bleeding procedure must be carried out following work on the brake system.Residual air from the secondary circuit in the DSC unit is extracted.This improves the conventional ventilation process using the bleeder unit”

Then follow guide on software operations

Preparation:

Connect the brake fluid replacement device and switch online(The fill pressure must not exceed 2 bar)

Completely fush bleed.

Then attach bleeder bottle to rear left bleeder valve.

In the preparation stage,pay more attention to the prompts,then select “OK”

Open bleeder valve at rear left wheel

The pre-bleeding routine for the rear-axle brake circuit is started in the next test step.

For this purpose,a person must sit in the vehicle and press the brake pedal at 3 second intervals.

This process takes approx. 15 seconds

Pre-bleeding routine for the rear-axle brake circuit.

Press the brake pedal as far as it will go every 3 seconds.

This process takes approx. 15 seconds

Pre-bleeding routine at rear-axile brake circuit completed successfuly.

Rear left bleeder screw remains open.

Press [OK] to continue service function

The bleeding routine for the rear left wheel is started in the next test step.

During the routine,press the brake pedal as for as it will go every 3 seconds.

The routine bake approx. 30 seconds.

Wait for corresponding message.

Brake fluid free of bubles must emerge at the end of the routine.

Select “OK”,the software show below prompts.

“Bleeding routine for the rear left wheel

Press the brake pedal as for as ti will go every 3 seconds.

This process takes approx. 30 seconds.”

Bleeding routine at rear left finished successfully.

Close rear left-hand bleeder screw once the brake fluid started to emerge without bubbles and foam.

Attach bleeder bottle to front left bleeder valve and open front left bleeder screw.

Press [OK] to continue service function.

The pre-bleeding routine for the front-axle brake circuit is started in the nex test step.

Select [OK]

Press the brake pedal as far as it will go every 3 seconds.

This process take approx. 15 seconds.

Select [OK]
