Volvo XC90 2019 Fuel Trim Adaptation Function Reset by Launch X431

This instruction show you guide on how to reset adaptation function fuel trim P01700 trouble code for Volvo XC90 2019 by Launch X431.

 

Preparations:

Launch X431 PAD V

 

Procedures:

Connect Launch X431 to Volvo XC90,then power on Launch X431 and select Volvo Brand perform automatically search.

Select “Read Fault Code”

Then back to select “Clear Fault Code”

Select “Special Function”

Select “Reset The adaptation function of the fuel/air mixing (Fuel Trim)”

This Reset Must Be Performed After Rectified The Stored Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Because The Control Module Has Reached Its Fuel Compensation Limit, I. E. It Can Not Compensate FOr More, Or Less Fuel To Reach The Oxygen Content 1. The Reset Also Contributes To Other Types Of Fault Tracing And Practices, Such As When Rectifying The Air Leakage. The Engine Control Module (ECM) Stores The Adaptive Value Of The Learnt Fuel/Air Mixed Ratio.

 

When Change The Components Connected To The Control Module, The Relevant Adaptive Values Should Be Reset.Perform A Reset So That The Control Module Can Quickly Learn About The New Components And Their Features And Their Impact On The Surrounding Components And Functions.

*Set The Vehicle As The “Start The Usage Mode”.

*start The Reset.

*set The Vehicle As The “Not Start The Usage Mode”. Wait For 3 Minutes.Warning! After Completed, The Control Module Can Be Kept In Standby Mode To Reset The Data Stored In Memory.

Notice! If The Above Procedure Is Not Performed Correctly, The Control . Module Will Retain The Old Adaptive Values, or It Should Be Noticed That An Incorrect Adaptive Value Will Occur After Next Data Test, Which May Result,For Example, The Negative Symptoms Related to the driving performance and/or fuel consumption
