VCDS Reset AdBlue for VW Touareg TDI Diesel 2009

This short post,show you guide on how to use VCDS to reset AdBlue for VW Touareg TDI Diesel 2009.

 

Preparations:

Procedures:

Turn ignition off and pull fuse s14 the second one in 15 amp fuse.

Turn on ignition,it till show us engine light.

Turn ignition back off and pull key out

Pull the fuse s14 back

Now back to driver seat and turn ignition on again

Connect VCDS interface to OBD port,and run VCDS software

Click “01-Engine”

Now it will read out the vehicle controller info,and you need to click “Long Adaptation-0A”

Then click “Read” button

This AdBlue Reset should ONLY be performed after the Tank is completely Full Measuring Block Group (MVB) 174/1 should show 00000100 after resetting this Channel.

Save “001” as the new Value to reset the AdBlue level.

Note:The 2009-2010 NAR Market VW Touareg has noted issues in this particular area.If this Reset will not work,it may be necessary to remve the fuse for the AdBlue System followed by an Ignition Cycle to create a Fault Code and Re-adapting the channel.

Input new value “0001” and click “Test”

Then click “Done Go Back”

If you want to measure it,click “Meas Blocks-08”

It is 174 Group,Done to back

Now turn ignition off,then turn it on again

And well normally that engine goes off but what’s nice is AdBlue warning which was right over here telling 200 mile until it shut down is now gone.
