Toyota Camry 2019 Front Camera Calibration by Launch X431 ADAS

Launch X431 ADAS Pro the advanced driver assistance system calibration tool is original released by Launch to the automotive ADAS market.It was designed to handle the calibrations after the cameras or a radars are removed,replaced or repaired.It has wide coverage on vehicle models and excellent calibration performance.In this example,it show you how to use Launch X431 ADAS Pro to calibrate front camera for Toyota Camry 2019.For more Camry projects,please follow this tag:Toyota Camry Repair Cases.

Proper calibrations are needed when one or multiple of the following conditions occur:

Front camera replacement

ECU replacement

Windscreen replacement

Structure change

Chassis adjustment

Level sensor replacement

Relevant DTCs(C1AA8:Front camera module incorrect axial gap,C1AA9:Front camera module beam axis not adjusted)

Note:All fault memory records not related to calibration must have been processed.

 

Preparation:

Park the car on the flat ground and set the steering angle to be zero

Keep the front wheels pointing straight ahead

Empty the car and keep the doors closed

Check the tire pressure and ensure the value is within standard range

Turn off the headlights

Switch on the ignition

Keep front camera lens clean and unobstructed

The light at the field should be bright enough

No reflective or flashing objects around the target

 

Procedures:

Turn on the ignition

Connect the VCI (vehicle communication interface) to the vehicle

Get access to ADAS system

The ADAS calibration system automatically identifies the VIN code to get the car model

Select “Front Recognition Camera”

Select “Special Function”

Select “Recognition Camera Axis Adjust”

 

Calibration Setup:

1.Use LAC01-06 target

2.The distance(L) between LAC panel and the front of the vehicle 3000mm

3.ADAS Panel is placed centered in front of the vehicle

4.ADAS Panel is placed parallel to front of the vehicle

5.Adjust the height(H) of the LAC panel to 2000mm

 

Continue the calibration

 

Press “OK” to continue

Confirm the following conditions,and press “OK” to continue

Press “One time recognition” then it will prompt you to set up the target at position 1 as instructed in the repair manual

Press OK to continue

Recognition Camera Axis Adjust is complete
