How to Calibrate 2403 Steering Valve for Fendt 800 S4 Tractor

Here is the instruction show you guide on how to calibrate 2403 steering valve for Fendt 800 S4 tractor.

 

Note: Only valid for PowerPlus and ProfiPlus versions with wayline guidance pre-installation During calibration, the valve slider free travel is determined. To operate the automatic track guidance, it is essential to calibrate the steering valve.

 

Preparations:

Warning:

The vehicle’s front wheels may be deflected automatically during the calibration procedure.

Risk of injury and death! Material damage is possible.

 

Ensure that there are no people present in the area around the steering system during calibration.

 

Note: Calibration of the steering angle sensor and steering valve is required if:

the E-BOX has been replaced

The steering angle sensor has been replaced.

the steering angle sensor value in the diagnostics is greater than ±0.4° while Guide is ON

Note: Calibration of the steering angle sensor and steering valve may be required if:

the vehicle is oscillating on the wayline or catches up the wayline very slowly other steering problems occur

 

Note: If the vehicle is oscillating on the wayline or catches up the wayline very slowly there may be several reasons, e.g.:

IMU calibration required

Steering valve is defective or

Steering valve calibration required

Steering angle sensor calibration required (front wheels must be in exact straight-ahead position when required during calibration)

Steering settings, see → Settings → Steering

Implement settings (see → manual of the implement)

Front axle ballast

Lower link stabilization setting

Significant difference in tire pressure between left and right tires

Steering angle sensor clearance

Front axle bearing clearance

Pressure supply to steering system

Internal / external leak in the steering system / steering cylinder

No electrohydraulic steering fault code (18.1.xx) present

Apply the hand brake

Start engine

 

Press “ESC”to confirm any existing errors displayed in the instrument cluster

• Disable pre-activation of wayline guidance
• Set steering to the straight-ahead position and do not move the steering wheel

Press “Enter”to display the first main menu level

Press “Up or Down”until symbol A flashes

Press “Enter”to display the second main menu level

Press “Up or Down”until symbol A flashes

Press “Enter”to display the steering menu level

Press “Up or Down”until symbol A flashes

Press “Enter”to be able to enter the calibration code

 

Warning:

Serious injury or death due to being in the steering system danger zone.

Steering movements can cause bruising, shearing and impact injuries in the area of the steering angle.

Ensure that there is nobody in the danger area.

Press “Up or Down”and enter code 2403

Confirm with “Enter”

• The calibration is carried out automatically (Maximum duration approx. 5 minutes)
• Note:

Do not actuate steering.

Do not leave the operator’s seat

17 If calibration is error-free, OK appears and the calibration values are stored

Note:

The values are not applied until after a key reset.

Wait at least 60 seconds before switching the ignition ON.

If incorrect values are detected or the conditions were not met, ERROR appears
