Hitachi EX5600-7B Folding Stairway and Surrounding Parts Removal Guide

This instruction show you guide on how to remove folding stairway and surrounding part for Hitachi EX5600-7B excavator.

Procedures:

1 Attach nylon slings onto lifting position (b) of folding stairway (1). Hoist and hold the folding stairway (1) assembly.

2 Remove bolts, washers (1) (2 used) and clips (2) (2 used).

3 Disconnect connector (4). Place wire harness (3) outside the work area.

 

 

4 Disconnect hoses (1, 2) (2 used for each).

CAUTION: Remove folding stairway (3) while holding it by using nylon slings.

5 Slowly hoist folding stairway (3). Set folding stairway (3) to the retracting position.

 

6 Install a soft rubber onto cylinder rod (c) in order not to damage cylinder rod (c).

7 Remove nuts (5) (2 used) and bolt (2).

8 Remove pin (4). Disconnect lift cylinder (1) from bracket (3).

9 Disconnect other lift cylinder (1) in the same way as step 6 to step 8.

IMPORTANT: Split pin (8) cannot be reused.

10 Remove split pin (8) and pin (7). Disconnect rod (9) from bracket (6).

 

11 Remove nuts (5) (2 used) and bolt (3).

12 Remove pin (6). Disconnect rod (2) from bracket (4).

13 Disconnect other rod (2) in the same way as step 10 to step 12.

14 Remove nuts (10) (2 used) and bolt (7).

15 Remove pin (8).

16 Remove other pin (8) in the same way as step 14 to step 15.

17 Remove the folding stairway (1) assembly from brackets (9) (2 used).

 

18 Remove bolt, washer (3) and clip (4).

19 Remove clip band (6).

20 Disconnect connector (2). Remove connector (2) from bracket (1).

21 Remove bolts, washers (8) (2 used). Remove the folding stairway alarm/flash light (7) assembly
