Volkswagen Magotan P0118 P2185 Trouble Repair

He diagnosed Volkswagen Magotan with ODIS,and find below diagnostic code:

P0118:Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor 1–circuit high
P2185:Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor 2–circuit high

P0113:Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High

 

Symptoms:

Fan run with high speed

Can not accelerate

Water temperature can not display

 

Diagnostic Procedures:

Check the circuit diagram and found the trouble sensor have a common ground in the ECU.Then mechanic ensured there is no open circuit at wire.So we can consider it may get trouble in the ECU PCB.

Remove ECU from Volkswagen and disassemble PCB,found a break line on the PCB,re-solder it.

And then check the capacitance status (short circuit) and triode work correctly.

Reinstall all part back on vehicle,then clear DTCs and vehicle now can work fine!
