Oxygen sensors(Air fuel ratio sensors) are a common problem on Toyota’s and Lexus engines. A P1155 or P1135 code indicates you have a bad sensor. This instruction will show you guide on how to test the air fuel ratio sensor to see if it is bad, and then learn how to replace the bad sensor.
The process will be the same for any Toyota or Lexus with 2-liter four-cylinder engine.

Procedures:
Pull out sensor connector
There’s two black wires on top and then a blue and a white on the bottom
Set ohm mulitmeter to 200 ohms to test the two black wires
There’s no continuity, so the heater circuit is broken. It should be have a resistance if it works.
Use a oxygen sensor socket which is a 7/8inches to take out old sensor
Take our new air fuel ration sensor, and always check to make sure that the sensor is the same and it looks identical has the same length
Add a little bit of anti-seize which comes with sensor on the threads, push it in with your finger
Thread new sensor into the hole and tighten it up
Reconnect the clip
Replacement is ready, now we can delete the codes to check engine light and see if it gets triggered again.
