BMW Stainless Steel Pedal Plate Retrofit Guide

This guide share the detail of BMW stainless steel pedal plate retrofit.The installation time is approx. 0.5 hours, but may vary depending on the condition of the car and the equipment in it.

 

The vehicle must be updated to the latest I-stage status by flashing before installing the retrofit. Different programming times are necessary depending on the production age of the vehicle and the work already performed on the vehicle so that no time requirements can be specified here. The installation time does not include the time required for programming/encoding which depends on the vehicle’s age and equipment.

35 00 0 410 100 Set of stainless steel pedals for automatic transmission vehicles

 

These installation instructions are not valid for RHD manual transmission vehicles.

Observe warning information.

Make sure the interior of the vehicle is adequately ventilated after installation! The following is not included in the retrofit kit and must be sourced separately:

– Installation fluid (isopropyl alcohol) D.

Only for vehicles with manual transmission:

B Pedal plate for brake/clutch pedal (2x)

Only for vehicles with automatic transmission:

C Brake pedal plate

Not included in parts kit:

D Installation fluid (isopropyl alcohol)

 

Preparatory work

 

Installation Procedures:

Install accelerator pedal module A as described under TIS No. 35 40 001.

 

For vehicles with manual transmission:

Fit the brake pedal/clutch pedal plates B on the brake and clutch pedals.

 

For vehicles with automatic transmission:

Observe warning information on the packaging or package insert of the installation fluid Part D!

Make sure the interior of the vehicle is adequately ventilated after installation!

 

Allow installation fluid D to run under edge (1) at the back of brake pedal pad D.

Do not use silicon spray as a lubricant. Do not use any agents that corrode the paintwork or the rubber. The lubricant must completely evaporate without trace.

First fit brake pedal pad C on one corner of brake pedal (1).

Now turn brake pedal pad C on pedal (1) until three corners are fitted in position.

Finally snap the remaining corner (1) of brake pedal pad C in position.

Brake pedal pad C must be fitted snugly about the pedal. Make sure that the stainless steel frame

is fitted correctly in the profile section.

Make sure the interior of the vehicle is adequately ventilated after installation!

 

Concluding work and coding

The retrofit system does not require encoding.

– Reconnect vehicle battery

– Perform quick test
