The Exhaust Gas Recirulation valve is part of the EGR system that is used to reduce the formation of NOx.The Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve recirulates exhaust back into the intake stream. Exhaust gases that have already burned do not bum again which cools combustion and reduces NOX.

 

Probable Cause:

1) EGRP signal circuit short to PWR

2) EGRP signal circuit OPEN or short to GND

3) VREF circuit OPEN or short to GND

4) Failed EGR assembly
