How to Use Ford IDS with FVDI J2534 Diagnose for Ford Focus 1.6L

This instruction show you the test report on Ford IDS with FVDI J2534 diagnose Ford Focus 1.6L DURATCE VCT DPS6.And some my blog use also recommend to use Ford F-COM,for this tool test report,check here:Ford F-COM Test Reports,

 

Preparations:

Ford IDS Software Dowload

How to Install Ford IDS Software

FVDI J2534 Interface

 

Procedures:

Connect FVDI J2534 interface to Ford Focus OBD port

Run FVDI Ford IDS software,then select “Start New Session”–>”All other”

Wait for communication establishing to PCM

After vehicle specification,it will show the vehicle information as below,select “Yes” to continue

 

 

Read and Clear DTCs:

Select “Self Test”–>”All CMDTCs”

Set the ignition switch to ON,then click “OK” button

 

Wait for Reading Continuous DTCs

 

After then,you will see the diagnostic trouble codes show as below,you can select to read the item for more information.

 

DataLogger (Live Data)

Back to menu to select “DataLogger”

Modules–>PCM

Now it show as below screen

 

Select “VREF”,and click “OK” button

 

Now it show the data as graphic

And you can press the accelerator pedal or other to test the live data
