How to Repair Washer Fluid Reservoir Leak for Mercedes W212

Windshield washer fluid reservoir is a common problem that grommets start to leak. Repair it only need to remove tire and wheel house cover to access reservoir pumps to change the grommets. This instruction will show you guide on how to repair leaking windshield washer fluid reservoir for Mercedes-Benz W212 E-Class sedan and estate 2009-2016 models. Same procedure for most Mercedes.

Procedures:

Removing rivet and two screws(socket 8mm)

Screw part-nr N 000000 001460

Remove wheel house covering three rivets

Rivet part-nr A 124 990 04 92

Two bolts(socket 10mm)

Bolt part-nr A 201 990 00 50

Behind wheel house cover you have access to reservoir pumps.

Before removing pumps be sure to not have any fluid left. Did use all before this removal.

Flat head screwdriver to remove old grommets

Grommet part-nr A 000 998 90 01 (little one)

Grommet part-nr A 010 997 11 81 (Big one)

New grommet only use hands or plastic tools to install

Reinstall pumps. Top up washer fluid.

Standing 2 hours, check it no leaks! That’s ok.
