Trouble symptoms:

1.Can not start engine

2.Warning light on dashboard

 

Trouble Diagnosis:

Use ignition key to start engine,the dashboard can not light on when turn ignition key to ON position,and can not start the starter.

Reason & Troubleshooting:

Electrical steering column lock control module damaged.

Replace starter or driver chip

The steering column lock can not unlock when the ignition key identifying,and the remote function work normally.It seem that the MC33689 chip was damaged.

After you replace steering column lock,you need to perform online programming for it.Or you can read out CPU data and write the data to new one.
