Mazda 3 Program Electric Power Steering Replacement of the EPS’s ECU

Follow below procedures to get the skill,and any problems to watch the video guide.

 

Connect the Launch X431 Pro to the vehicle,open the menu to select the “MAZDA”

Select “MAZDA V41.05”

Note:The software can diagnose the electric control system of Mazda up 1990-2017,include PCM,TCM,ICM,ABS,RCM,GEM;read flash diagnostic code.

The software will prompt you to “Set the ignition switch to ON”,just follow the guide,then click “OK”

Automatically Search

Select “16 PIN DIAGNOSTIC SOCKET”

Then it will display the Vehicle Specification as below:

Vehicle=AXELA/MAZDA 3(Japan/General Specs.)

Capacity=2.3L

Engine Type=L3

Transmission=Automatic

PATS=Equipped

Fuel Type=Gasoline

Transaxle Type=2WD

Vehicle code=SW-L34NEA000

System ID=L34NA

 

If problems are found during the testing,please sent the vehicle code to the local service provider,we will solve your problems as soon as possible.

Click “OK”

Select “Advanced Keyless Entry=Not equipped”

Select”EPS(Electronic Power Steering)”

Click “OK”

Select “Special Function”

Select “Programmable module installation”

The software will show the warning massage as below:

“Before programming a module,please clear the trouble codes of the vehicle.

For the security of the module programming,please connect it with an additionoal power to keep the scanner power connected.

Programmmig the module should be careful”

Click “OK”

Set ignition switch to on(position II)

Click “OK”

Then follow the software to set ignition switch to off(position I)

Install a new module in Vehicle(ECU)

Set ignition switch to on

Operation in progress about 10

Wait for module programming complete

Select ignition switch to off（position I）

Select ignition switch to on(Position II)

Wait for module programming complete

Select ignition switch to off（position I）

Procedure successful.
