How To Solve VW Magotan Trunk Can Not Opened by Handle

One of my customers drove this VW Magotan with 200km to our garage,and told that the trunk can not opened by handle.This article share the progress of how to solve VW Matotan 2011 trunk can not be opened by handle.

Trunk trouble diagnose:

1. The trunk can be opened by remote fob and master power window switch.

2. Use the vas5052a access the comfort system and there was no trouble code.

3. VAS 5052A show “no operation” when press the unlock button on the trunk handle.

 

Below shows the part electric diagram of VW Magotan,according to the diagram we know that the unlock button E234 is a switch button,and comfort system control unit J393 will receive signal when press the unlock button.After receiving the signal,the comfort control unit J393 power on motor V53 of trunk,then open the trunk.

There are three methods to open the trunk:remote fob,master power window swith and trunk handle.And we have verified that the trunk can be open by remote fob and master power window swith.So it mean the motor and comfort system work correctly,and we found vas 5052a show “no operation” when press the unlock button on the trunk handle.Considering above testing,we can determained that there are trouble in swith E234 or relevant wire harmness.

Remove the trunk handle switch button,and we found the wire connector pins loose result in signal can not communnicate from unlock button to comfort system control unit,so trunk can not be open.

 

Solution:

Fix the wire connector,and the test the trunk,it can be opened by handle.
