Chassis Angle Sensor Configuration Procedure

Accessing the Rear Display Service Menu

1 Ensure the machine’s ignition is turned OFF.

2 Disconnect the mast angle sensor. The position of the mast angle sensor is shown below.

3 Ensure that all of the emergency stop buttons are ‘out’ and have not been pressed.

4 Turn the machine’s ignition ON.

5 Ensure the rear display is ON and wait for the drill information screen to show.

Note: if the rear display does not switch ON, re-check the emergency stop buttons.

6 Press and hold both the F1 and F2 buttons. Wait 5 seconds and then press the OK button whilst still holding down the F1 and F2 buttons.

7 The display should now show the service menu.

8 The menu items are selectable by pressing the UP and DOWN arrows.

9 To access an option, press the OK button.

10 To exit the menu, select “exit” and press the OK button.

Chassis Angle Sensor Configuration

1 Select “angle sensor configuration” and press the OK button.

2 A confirmation screen will show stating that the mast angle sensor must be disconnected before continuing.

3 If the mast angle sensor has been disconnected, press the F2 button and the chassis angle sensor will be configured. Pressing the F3 button will abort the process.

4 Once the sensor has been configured (or aborted), the display will return to the service menu screen.

5 Exit the service menu screen and turn the machine’s ignition OFF.

6 Re-connect the mast angle sensor.

Checking the Angle Sensors Operation

1 Turn the machine’s ignition ON and start the engine.

2 Change the display from the drill information screen to the angle information screen by pressing the UP or DOWN button.

3 Extend the stabiliser legs to full extension. The upper two segments will react to the changes in angles from the chassis angle sensor.

4 Move the boom up and down. The lower two segments will react to the changes in angles from the mast angle sensor.

5 Once the angle sensors have been confirmed as operating, return the drill end to the ‘travel’ position and retract the stabiliser legs fully.

6 Turn the engine OFF.
