Chrysler Town 2012 Used PCM Reprogramming by Autel IM608 Programmer

When a PCM is replaced,please make sure the used module has same part number as the original module.If used module comes with black key,it is a security key.If it’s a grey key,it is not security.

 

Secret Key is an ID code that is unique to each WIN.This code is programmed and stored in the WIN,the PCM,and each ignition key transponder chip.When the PCM or WIN is replaced,it is necessary to program the Secret Key code into the new module.

 

Pin Code–A 4 digit PIN is required to enter the Security Access Mode of the WCM/WIN (aftermarket tolls will produce a 5 digit)

 

Chrysler IMMO System:

SKIM/WCM

Sentry Key immo module 1998-2006

 

SKREEM/WCM

Sentry key remote entry module/wireless control module 2004-2014

 

WIN

Wireless ignition node 2008-present

 

Keyless Go

Keyless Go 2008-2016

 

Smart Start

Push button non WIN module 2011-present

 

Procedures:

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable

Read and support the vehicle (refer to 04-vehicle reference hosting-standard procedure)

Remove the push pin (2) and reposition the PCM access cover

Unlock and disconnect the electrical connectors from the Powertrain Control Module

Remove the three bolts and PCM

Connect Autel IM608 to Chrysler Town

Select “IMMO”–>”Chrysler”–>”Automatic Selection”

Turn ignition,then press “OK” to continue

Select “Fobik Key”

Switch the ignition off and then on again,make sure the engine is off,then press “OK”

Now it show you with password:8509

Press “OK”,then click “immo status scan”

Press “Replace component”

Press “Powertrain control module (PCM) replaced”

It will show you with some prompt message,just press “OK” to continue

Click “OK” to continue

VIN write to the powertrain control module (PCM) was successful.

Click “OK” to continue

Now back and click “Rescan”

Click on “Trouble codes (WCM)”

Then clear the DTC,then ESC

After then back to Autel IM608 main menu to select “Diagnostics”

Then click “VIN” icon,select “Auto Scan”

And select “Chrysler USA”

Vehicle identification

Click “Diagnosis”–>”Control unit”–>”Body”

Select “WCM/TPMS (Wireless Control)”

 

Select “Special Function”

Select “Reset ECU”

ECU has been reset

If the system has a fault code,cycle the ignition and clear the fault code.
