Procedures:

After extracting,you will get below files,then double click “ET 2018C v1.0.exe” to run

Select the installer language(it is only for installer,not for CAT ET software interface)

Cat Electronic Technician 2018C v1.0 Setup is preparing the InstallShield Wizard,which will guide you through the program setup process.Please wait

The InstallShield(R) will install Cat Electronic Technician 2018C v1.0 on your computer.To continue,click Next.

Select “I accept the terms in the license agreement”,then click “Next”

Please wait which the InstallShield Wizard installs Cat Electronic Technician 2018C v1.0.This may take several minutes.

 

The InstalllShield Wizard has successfully installed Cat Electronic Technician 2018C 1.0.Click “Finish” to exit the wizard.

 

How to Activate Cat Electronic Technician 2018C?

After installation complete,open “Patch Installers” folder,here are two files as bellow.

2018C x64 Patch Installer.exe is for 64 bit system

2018C x86 Patch Installer.exe is for 32 bit system.

My computer is 64 bit system,so double click “2018C x64 Patch Installer.exe” to install.

Copy folder “FlexLM” to your C:/

 

Then back to “Cat Electronic Technician 2018C” folder to run HWID.exe

It will show your machine ID as below

Copy your machine ID,sent it to my email:carautorepair01@gmail.com

Then i will sent you a activation.key file to you.

 

After then paste activation.key file to “Cat Electronic Technician 2018C” folder.

And paste activation.key file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Offboard Information Products\2018C\Comet

 

Back to “Cat Electronic Technician 2018C” folder

Drag activation.key file to “4-Key_Install.exe”

 

Close the window,and the CAT ET 2018C have been activated!

Run CAT ET on desktop,it only support language:English and Chinese.
