How to Use VCDS to Reset Service Light for Audi A6 2010

How to Configure VCDS & Diagnostic Cable for Your Laptop

 

Procedure:

Connect VCDS interface to Audi A6 obd port,enter menu to select “Control Module”

Select “17-Instruments”

Enter menu to select “Fault Code-02” to check trouble code,if there are some diagnostic trouble codes,please erase it.Then back to menu to select “Adaptaion-10”

Then open adaptation channels selection to select “Service Reminder”

Input “0” to “New value” field,then click “Test” button

After then click “Save” button

Note:After then you would better to click “Read” button to check if the value have been change to “0”

 

But for some cars may not have the service reminder field for you to reset.In this situation,you need to change 4 parameters to reset service light.

Go into Adaptation options to change below parameters:

1.Select “Mileage since Service”,change the stored value to “0”

2.Select “Time since Service”,change the stored value to “0”

3.Select “Distance since Inspection”,change the stored value to “0”

4.Select “Time since Inspection”,change the stored value to “0”
