How to Replace Battery for Volvo EC18 Electric Excavator

Procedures:

Total procedure time (hr): 0.50

1.Place machine in the service position.

2.Turn off the battery disconnect switch.

3.Remove the lower (1) left side cover.

4.Risk of machine damage.

Connecting the positive (+) battery terminal to the negative (-) terminal or to the chassis could cause machine damage.

Never connect the positive battery terminal to the negative terminal or to the chassis.

Disconnect the electrical connection from the negative (-) battery terminal and positive (+) battery terminal.

5.Remove the screw (1) securing the battery bracket (2).

6.Remove the battery.

7.Install the battery.

8.Install the battery bracket (2).

 

9.Risk of machine damage.

Connecting the positive (+) battery terminal to the negative (-) terminal or to the chassis could cause machine damage.

Never connect the positive battery terminal to the negative terminal or to the chassis.

Connect the electrical connection to the positive (+) battery terminal and negative (-) battery terminal.

10.Install the lower (1) left side cover.

11.Turn on the battery disconnect switch.
