How to Remove and Install DC Converter for Volvo EC18 Electric

This instruction show you guide on how to remove and install DC converter for Volvo EC18 Electric machine.

Procedures:

Removal

1.Place machine in the service position.

2.Decommission the machine.

3.Remove the cab platform.

4.Disconnect the remaining cables on the DC/DC converter.

5.Remove the nuts securing the DC/DC converter on the bracket.

Installation:

Total procedure time (hr): 1.25

1Install the DC/DC converter on the bracket.

2.Install the cable from the front ground point on the terminal post (3) with recommended torque.

1.Terminal post, positive (+) input voltage

2.Terminal post, ground input voltage

3.Terminal post, ground output voltage

4.Connector

 

3.Install the cable from the rear ground point on the terminal post (2). Tighten the nut with recommended torque.

4.Install the positive (+) cable on the terminal post (1). Tighten the nut with recommended torque.

5.Connect the cable (4) of the wire harness to the DC/DC converter.

6.Install the cab platform.

7.Check the electrical installation of the DC/DC converter according to Insulation resistance and low resistance measurement, checking.
